Required Faction Boss Coins can be earned in Faction Boss Battles. The higher the difficulty, the more Coins you will get. Remember, each Level’s Reward can be earned four times by beating the Boss with a different Style. Beating a Level earns the rewards of all Levels before it. Winning with an entire team of Faction Members gives 2x the Faction Boss Coins.

Battle Tips

Rey Mysterio “Mascara de la Muerta” is a Faction Boss that focuses on using two defensive schemes, a Hardened Purple Gem Shield and Freezing player moves. The Boss will alternate between the Shield and Freezing player moves so make sure your team is set up to handle both of these types of defenses. Additionally, he will also place Silence gems on the board every turn, to slow down your Superstars ability to charge their moves. Take advantage of the Boss’s three weaknesses to Purple Gems, Green Moves, and Trap Gems. Utilize Superstars that use any combination of these weaknesses as their damage will be boosted.

Superstar Strategies

Use Superstars with the following characteristics
- Focused Superstars
  - Hell Freezes Over: Use this Boss Breaker to remove the Frozen Move debuffs from yourself and your teammates. Use multiple activations of this Boss Breaker to remove the larger number of frozen moves.
- Aggressive Superstars
  - Exhaust Boss Breaker: Use this Boss Breaker to lower the Boss’s damage, especially useful in later turns as the boss will deal more damage the longer the match takes.
- Trap Gem Generation/Destruction
  - Take advantage of the increased Trap Gem Damage
- Purple Gem Generation/Destruction
  - Take advantage of the increased Purple Gem Damage
- Green Move Users
  - Take advantage of increased Green Move Damage
