Faction Boss Info

Required Faction Boss Coins can be earned in Faction Boss Battles. The higher the difficulty, the more Coins you will get. Remember, each Level’s Reward can be earned four times by beating the Boss with a different Style. Beating a Level earns the rewards of all Levels before it. Winning with an entire team of Faction Members gives 2x the Faction Boss Coins.

The World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther “King General” makes his appearance as this week’s Faction Boss! Prepare your lineup and gather your faction mates to take on the King General.

Be ready to counter his Boss Moves that include a large All Color Gem Shield, Freezing your Superstar’s Moves, and a Boss Heal.

Be prepared with the Hell Freezes Over and Healer’s Steal Boss Breakers to counter them. Bring Superstars that can create and destroy lots of gems to take down the Hardened All Color Gem Shield. Row break, Column Break, and X-Break Gems will deal increased damage, so make sure to utilize movesets that use these gems types to counter the general Gem Damage Debuff from the Boss.

Boss Abilities

• Deal Damage and Extra Bonus Damage Per Turn Passed
  • Every turn, starting Turn 1

  • Move deals bonus damage based on the Boss turn number
    
• Hardened All Color Gem Shield
  • Every 2 Turns, starting turn 1
  • Applies at difficulty levels
  • Shield Lasts 1-2 Turns depending on difficulty 
  • Shield HP Scales from 50-250 depending on difficulty
  • Shield will not be affected by Boss Breakers
    
• Modify Random Gems on the Board into Snowfall Gems
  • Every Turn, starting turn 1
  • Applies at difficulty levels
  • Number of gems modified range from 6-49 depending on difficulty
    
• [COMBO] Freeze Player Moves and Heal Boss
  • Every 2 turns, starting turn 2
  • Applies at difficulty levels 9+
  • Moves frozen will range from 1-2 player moves and last for 1-2 turns depending on difficulty level
  • Heal ranges from 10%-20% of Boss Health
  • Hell Freezes Over Boss Breaker will remove the Frozen Moves debuff
  • Healer’s Steal will reduce the effectiveness of the Boss Heal

Superstar Strategies

• Use Superstars with the following characteristics
  • Focused Superstars
    • Hell Freezes Over Boss Breaker from Focused Superstars will allow your team to remove the Frozen Move Debuff
      
  • Chaotic Superstars
    • Healer’s Steal Boss Breaker from Chaotic Superstars will allow your team to reduce the effectiveness of the Boss Heal
      
  • X-Break, Row Break, and Column Break Gem Superstars
    • Superstars that utilize X-Break, Row Break, and Column Break Gems will deal increased damage.

• Healer’s Steal (Chaotic)
  • Difficulty 9+
  • Counter to Boss Heal Ability
  • Ability works by Reducing the effectiveness of the Boss’s next Heal ability
    • Level 2-5 : Decreased Cooldown
    • Level 6-7 : Decreased Cooldown and increased Effectiveness
    • Level 8-9 : Increased Effectiveness
    • Level 10 : Decreased Cooldown and Increased Effectiveness
