Update 3/11

We are going to update the Stipulation Tours with the following improvements:

  • Will will increase all “Color Clash” Chapter turn limits to 9 across all difficulties so that you have more turns to charge your moves.
  • We will replace the text “Entry Price” on the Stipulation Chapter screen with blank text to reduce the confusion.
  • The Chapter background color will match the color of the Chapter itself.
  • The “Color Clash” Mode banner will get a “Beta” tag to make it more obvious that this is still an early version (“Beta” phase). We are still tuning the chapter design based on the data and Community Feedback we get.

Hey Champions,

This week we start to roll out Update 0.49 for WWE Champions 2021 and with that, we are happy to announce the upcoming OPEN BETA of the ALL-NEW Stipulation Tours!

After their initial announcement back in 2020, we ran internal playtests as well as two Closed Betas to tweak and improve this NEW game mode upon its release.

The changes and adjustments we made, were also based on Community Feedback, and we thank everyone who participated in these Betas.

That is why we are so excited to let everyone finally play what we and the WWE Champions Universe created and polished during the last few months.

What does OPEN BETA mean?
We will launch the first Stipulation Tour and let EVERYONE try it out. During this time we will collect more of your Feedback to make necessary changes before we unleash more Stipulation Tours into WWE Champions 2021.

When does it happen?
The first Stipulation Tour “Color Clash” will start on Wednesday, 2/24! Stay tuned!

NEW Stipulation Tours

  • Put your feet in the ring and experience a whole new way to fight for amazing rewards! (League 6+ only)
  • Join the Stipulation Tour and Marquee Stipulation Tour, and claim your rewards in the shop.
  • A new Stipulation Tour will go live at a fixed time during the day/week but the content (including opponents) will be variable every time.
    • Each day at 3 pm PST a new Tour will start and last 24 hours.
    • A Marquee Stipulation Tour will launch every Saturday at midnight and ends on Monday at noon PST.
    • The first Marquee Stipulation Tour will launch end of Q1

Scoring Match

  • Stipulation Tours come with a new match type, called Scoring Match
    • You need to reach at least 1-Star within limited turns to win the match.
    • You score by following the match rules.
    • Star rating is related to the FINAL score but not the remaining health anymore.
    • Similar to Survival Mode, you cannot defeat opponents until the match ends.
  • Your in-ring performance will be measured with different ways to score.
  • The higher your score, the better your rewards!
  • While in other game modes you might want to win the match the fastest, in the Stipulation Tours, you want to maximize your Score to get the best out of this new game mode.
  • At release, one Stipulation Tours and one Marquee Stipulation Tour will be playable:

  • You can enter a Stipulation Tour for FREE when a Free Entry is available.
  • Free Entries expire with the Tour.
  • When there is no Free Entry available you can use the required Credentials to enter the Tour.
  • The number of Free Entries and costs may vary between different difficulties and Tours.
  • Each Tour has limited entries. A Tour will be locked if the maximum number of entries is reached. Once that happens, you will have to wait for a new Tour to start.
  • You need to spend a Free Entry or Credential to enter the Tour after completing the whole Tour or lose a match in the Tour.
    • The Tour progress will reset if one of those situations occurs.
    • Play from the first match and earn the rewards again.
    • You need to complete all matches at 3-Star to unlock the next difficulty. (Auto-Clear tickets can be used but won’t grant you points!)
    • Your active Membership benefits will still retain in this game mode!
  • Marquee Credentials can be obtained from the Stipulation Tour Shop.
    • Participate in the Stipulation Tour every day to earn Chips and redeem Chips for Marquee Credentials.
    • Play the Marquee Stipulation Tour over the Weekend for Marquee Chips and great rewards on the Shop!
    • Marquee Stipulation Tours have no Free Entry.

Leverage the large variety of your Roster and choose the right Superstars to enforce and boost other Superstars!

Every Superstar can have a purpose and help you achieve the BEST scoring, thus maximizing your rewards!

  • Enforcers do not actively fight but can provide Score Boosts and/or increase Chip Rewards.
  • The Boost does not come with the Superstar. The types and the Superstar requirements for Boosts can vary between different Tours.
  • Try your best to meet the requirements to obtain stronger Boosts:
    • To trigger the 1st boost, you just need to slot in a Superstar that meets the requirement, no matter what talent the Superstar/Enforcer is at.
    • To trigger stronger Boosts, you need to have the required 2nd tier Superstar at a higher Talent range. The higher the Talent, the stronger the Boost you’ll unlock..
    • Boosts of different tiers do not stack.
    • There are up to 5 Enforcers you can equip to boost different Scoring Methods and/or Rewards.
  • Remember, EVERY Superstar in your Roster can be important!

Rewards and Shop

  • Reach the 3-Star Rating to get maximum rewards.
    • Any score that meets or exceeds the point maximum will earn the reward maximum (100%).
    • Any score that falls short of the point maximum will receive an equivalent percentage of the reward maximum. Example: If the point maximum is set to 1000, and you score 500, you will earn 50% of the maximum rewards.
    • The maximum score is not the cap! You can always try to earn a better score and compete on the Leaderboard (if the leaderboard is available in that Tour).
  • Earn Chips rewards no matter if you win or lose.
  • Earn Chips and Marquee Chips in the new Stipulation Tours and redeem them in the shop, which refreshes every day!

Work In Progress (Not in this Update)

Showdown Adjustments (WIP)

Over the course of the last Showdown Tournaments, we have received a lot of feedback regarding its functionality and behavior during peak times. Thus, we have the following Ideas “Work In Progress” to improve your experience in this game mode.

  • You will get an automatic FREE refresh of your opponents if 2 of the 3 opponents are not available.
  • Shielded opponents should no longer be surfaced.
  • You can’t be attacked while engaged in a defensive battle.
    • If you lose a defensive battle, your shield goes up.
    • If you win, then you are able to be attacked again immediately.
  • You should only see the “opponent unavailable” popup if a player you try to attack was attacked by someone else while still in your list.

There is no eta yet for the implementation of these changes, but we wanted to make sure to keep you in the loop on what’s happening behind the scenes regarding the Showdown Mode.

Bug Changelog

Please bear in mind, if an issue is not listed here it will not be included in the update, and therefore will take some more time to be fixed.

  • Dodging should now decrease the opponent’s MP by 3.
  • Some players did not receive contest points when meeting the requirement of using a specific group of superstars from contest tasks.
  • The game should no longer lock up in an endless loop of stuns when you were in a match with two opponents who could stun and both do the stun.
  • Some players were unable to see Faction Chat after removing an injured Superstar
  • The Trainer Ability of Triple H “The Authority” incorrectly displayed an increased number of Color Gems that the Move will create.
  • Sometimes the keyboard was not shown up when tapping on the “Enter Text” field.
  • The Heal gem effect of Lacey Evans’s Move “Running Clothesline” was not updated in the Move description when equipping a trainer.
  • The opponent’s MP was not visible on the MP Bar when starting a battle with an opponent who has the trainer ability to “increase x MP at the start of the Battle”.
  • Sami Zayn’s Move Exploder Suplex did not decrease his Yellow MP if the MP was below 5.
  • After fusing a Superstar successfully, switching to another Superstar, and going back to the upgraded Superstar, the Manager screen was displayed with the stats of the Superstar before the fuse.
  • Any time John Cena Zombies Trap Gem was broken by either player during Battle, the effect is applied to the AI opponent.
  • Some players were unable to start a brawl when the health of their Superstar was not full. The Heal popup should appear when the health of the Superstar is not full.
  • All information on the tour map disappeared after closing the Chat window.
  • Jinder Mahal’s Trap gems worked improperly if destroying more than 1 trap gem at the same time. Total MP decreased should now be consistent with the number of trap gems destroyed.
  • Destroying Zombie Nakamura’s Trap gems while being submitted resulted sometimes in an infinite Submission state.
  • Sometimes the “Something went wrong” popup appeared after pulling in a Vault.
  • Wildcard Gems didn’t show the correct damage.
  • Sometimes a white image appeared instead of the Superstar defender in Showdown mode.
