Hey Champions,
We’re rolling out exciting changes to the Showdown game mode that will elevate your experience, ramp up the competition, and make progression clearer than ever.
Given the significant improvements coming to WWE Champions with this Showdown overhaul, we’ve decided to roll it out in two phases.
Kicking off with Phase 1 in Update R70 you can expect the following improvements:
- Matchmaking Revamp: We’ve fine-tuned matchmaking and reset mechanics so you’ll be matched against opponents at your skill level.
- Notoriety Reset Adjustments: Instead of dropping to the bottom at SD reset, players will initially be placed in divisions based on roster and subsequent events based on past performance.
- New-Player Friendly: New “safe” notoriety leagues will help newer players become comfortable with the Showdown mode.
- Players in lower divisions do not lose notoriety when they lose battles, ensuring steady progress rather than frequent ranking drops.
The Career Showdown Mode will restart with all these changes on 2/10 at noon PT!
🚨 Showdown Coins Prize Wall (Ends 4/2)
The Showdown Overhaul requires a completely fresh start for all WWE Champions players. Thus, we plan to RESET everyone’s Showdown Coins inventory. But don’t worry, before this reset, you’ll have the opportunity to redeem all your earned Showdown Coins on a special Showdown Coins Prize Wall for Showdown Shop items.
This Prize Wall goes live on 2/10 and ends on 4/2!
Phase 2 of the Showdown overhaul includes improved League Ups, Shop Rewards, Visuals, and more! Stay tuned for more information in March 2025!
Bug Changelog (Server-side Fixes)
Please remember that if an issue is not listed here, we did not include it in the Update; therefore, we will need more time to fix it.
- Minor Localization fixes
- Players should receive a Strap or Medal in the Rewards tab when some players in their Faction buy an offer with a Strap or Medal as a Faction Gift.
